Eleanor, Franklin, Karen and Nick, just hanging out

May 2008

Tuesday, 5.27.08

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend.  The weather got nice here so I took a trip to the Hudson River Valley and the Berkshires in Massachusetts.

I returned to Hyde Park, NY  and saw Eleanor Roosevelt's Val-Kill cottage and also toured the Vanderbilt Mansion.  I love it, I love the history and the beauty of the area.

Then I went hiking in the Berkshires and got to see a bunch of beautiful waterfalls and peaked on some mountains. All in all a great weekend. It's great to be back on the hiking trails with green leaves on the trees.  I missed those leaves during the long winter.

Oh, you know how I was over American Idol?  Well, I'm back on...a little.  I was so happy David Cook beat the demon child.  He's a great winner.  Time to get ready for summer TV now.  Gotta see Indiana Jones 4 too, soon.  Lots of good movies coming out!  X-Files, ahhhhhh!

Ah, May.  Winters are long here in Boston and Spring is nonexistent.  The leaves aren't all out yet and it's still cold.  I'm looking forward to the warm coming soon, hopefully.

I'm on the ball.  Pictures from April!

April has been a busy and stressful month.  Yay!  Maybe I'll get more into that later...or not.  Here's to May, hopefully things start to settle down a bit.  In spite of a busy April I was able to get out every weekend (in spite of the lackluster weather) and do some touristy things to enjoy New England.  You can see all the fun times in the new pictures I linked to above.

Omg, I'm loving Survivor this season.  Three blind sides at Tribal Council, 3 weeks in a row!  This fan vs. favs is resulting in one of the best seasons yet.  I'm loving Lost too.  And I enjoyed my guilty pleasure Big Brother in it's winter edition.  American Idol, blah.  I'm over it this year.

I'm scheduled to get my hair chopped next week.  We'll see how that goes.  And I may be making at trip back to Columbus the week of May 12th.  Hopefully I can make it and have some fun there.
